Publisher Review

“Find Your Happy is a refreshing and insightful self-help guide that delivers exactly what it promises: a practical path to greater fulfillment and satisfaction in your professional life. Written by educator and mindset coach Robert Britton III, M.Ed., the book blends psychological theory with actionable tools to help readers take control of their mindset and career direction.

At its core, this book is about transforming your mindset—identifying the negative beliefs that hold you back and replacing them with empowering, constructive thought patterns. Britton introduces techniques like cognitive restructuring in a way that’s easy to understand and even easier to apply.

What truly sets this book apart is its focus on professional alignment and emotional intelligence. Britton encourages readers to reconnect with their values and passions, providing a roadmap for aligning their work with what truly matters. The emphasis on emotional intelligence—how we manage emotions and relate to others—adds depth and real-world relevance, especially for those navigating complex work environments.

The book is filled with practical exercises and reflective prompts, making it much more than just a motivational read. It’s an interactive toolkit for growth, ideal for readers who are ready to do the work and see real results.

Britton’s writing style is clear, engaging, and relatable. He doesn’t overwhelm you with jargon—instead, he communicates powerful ideas in a warm, encouraging tone that feels like personal coaching on the page.

Whether you're just entering the workforce, feeling stuck mid-career, or exploring a new path later in life, Find Your Happy is a valuable companion. It’s a must-read for anyone looking to improve their mindset, boost their job satisfaction, and find more meaning in what they do.”

  • As a mentee, I have always reached out to Robert for a plethora of advice. Whether it was life choices, career decisions, sports decisions, etc. He was the one person I knew I could go to because bias never played a part in our relationship. In a particular situation where I had to make a career decision, I went to him for advice and his simple answer was "Read my book, what you're going through is outlined in my book and it will help you navigate how to get out of it." I ordered the paperback version (not to fond of electronic reading because I like the classic highlighter to paper feel) and within the first five chapters of the book I knew exactly what I needed to do to get myself back on track. All in all, if you need the career advice or feel like your stuck waiting for the next moveto be made, this book is for you.

  • How appropriate that I finished reading this book when I finally was able to get some down time, which the author reminds us of in the book. This is a fantastic read to help put things into perspective, provide tools to build great personal and professional relationships as well as finding that work life balance. His words are inspiring, uplifting and meaningful particularly for those of us who continue to try and get it all done, but need to take care of ourselves as well.

  • This is an awesome read. This book gives individuals information on how to set goals, work hard and be happy all in one. I would like to encourage all school librarians, counselors, and teachers to read this book and share the information with students who are searching for the correct career path and find their purpose in life. The book explains how your mindset shapes your professional experiences, and ways to overcome the lack of motivation, and how to end frequent procrastination that sometimes we might struggle with. This book gave me some wonderful tips on how to overcome job-related hardships. I encourage you to purchase this book. It provides so much information about life choices and it would be a good book for a life coach to have as well, especially when conducting motivational groups with junior high students and high school students and even college students could use the book as a guide in early freshman seminar classes.
